Kingston Upon Thames is an ancient market town, where kings used to be crowned. Located only 12 miles south west of Central London, Kingston Upon Thames is one of only four Royal Boroughs.
Kingston is located on the River Thames where the first bridge was built upstream from London Bridge. It was this bridge that first gave Kingston its importance as a location.
Kingston Upon Thames is particularly well located 6 miles west of the M3 Motorway at Junction 1 (Sunbury) and 2.5 miles north of the A3 which links onto the M25 Motorway at Junction 10. The M4 Motorway is within 6 miles.
Kingston is approximately 4.5 miles south of Richmond and 4 miles west of Wimbledon. Epsom is 7 miles south of Kingston.
