Louth Area Guide
Louth is a large market town in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire.
Louth is the principal town for a large rural area of eastern Lincolnshire and consequently benefits from a large catchment population.
Visitor attractions include St James' Church, Hubbard's Hills, the market and Lincolnshire's last remaining cattle market.
Louth has a strong and vibrant town centre. Louth is known for the wide selection of independent retailers, with around 70% of businesses independently owned (2012). It was also named 'Britain's Favourite market town' by the BBC's Countryfile.
Interestingly the Greenwich Meridian passes through the Louth town centre.
